Bringing home some hardware: Quinlan wins a pair of 2014 ADDY awards

It’s always nice to get some recognition for your hard work. On Friday, March 7, we were honored to collect two trophies at the Advertising Club of Buffalo’s 2014 ADDY Awards presentation at The Tralf Music Hall in downtown Buffalo.

Both of the silver ADDYs — one for Digital Advertising (Video, Internet Commercials), the other for Elements of Advertising, Animation, or Special Effects — were awarded for Quinlan’s work on a video for the storage estimator app for Uncle Bob’s Self Storage.

Vice President of Operations Ryan DiMillo and Creative Director (Digital) Frank Conjerti led the concept and production of the video for the tool, which allows individuals to easily figure out the size of storage unit needed to hold their belongings.

“It was really tough at times. The animation was very involved and complex,” Frank said, “but it was awesome. It was so much fun to work on the video. It’s nice to have a client give us the flexibility to allow us to do projects like this. It’s great working with the team at Uncle Bob’s.”

Programmer Ian Forsyth also collected a silver ADDY for Ad Industry Self-Promotion, Integrated Campaign as part of the creative team behind the D2 Buffalo campaign. Ian was an intern at Quinlan in fall 2013 when Frank, a member of the Ad Club of Buffalo board of directors, asked him to help program the website for the American Advertising Federation District Two’s annual conference.

The three-day event was held in Buffalo this past September.

Congratulations to Frank, Ryan, and Ian. We’re all hungry to bring home some more hardware in 2015.
